Al Rostamani Group visits Torino
Mr. Mohammed Zameer, General Director of Al Rostamani's ICT Department, will visit 4 Think Up companies plants and attend B2B meetings with 9 companies. On June 5th he will also present the Group and its ICT branch at the "Torino Software Meeting", an event focused on the ICT sector in Piedmont, promoted by Unione Industriale di Torino. Moreover, 10 Think Up companies will exhibit at the same event.
With an annual turnover of 1,4 billions US$,Al Rostamani is one of the most important groups within the Emirates. Established in the Fifties', nowadays the Group is composed by 20 enterprises (with a total workforce of around 3.000 people), among which Al Rostamani Communications LCC (ARC), global leader in Telecommunication and Information Technology. Its business ranges from automotive and heavy vehicles to property sector, construction products, infrastructure development, telecommunication and commerce.
Al Rostamani's success is based not only on its winning strategy in signing alliances, joint ventures and distribution agreements with some of the major international organizations (such as Michelin, Castrol, Renault Trucks and General Electric) but also on its capacity to establish good relations with and to invest in many European countries. Thanks to its globalised approach to business, Al Rostamani is always willing to consider new projects and alliances with potential foreign partners.
Al Rostamani success reflects a general trend of economic growth within the United Arab Emirates. Moreover, the Government has strongly invested in the ICT sector: as a result, the Emirates have emerged as the regional leader in the ICT sector and ranked 28th in the Network Readiness Index Ranking (while Italy ranked 42nd ). With an annual public expenditure growth rate in IT of 10%, it is estimated that the total expenditure for IT systems will reach Euro 250 million in 2010.
For these reasons, United Arab Emirates are placed in the list of target countries for Think Up. Within the project, some personalized market researches has already been started with the aim to develop business opportunities for Think Up companies.
Al Rostamani's mission to Turin has been organized thanks also to the support provided by the Italian Industry & Commerce Office in the United Arab Emirates: Piero Ricotti, President of the Italian Industry & Commerce Office, is accompanying Mohammed Zameer in his business trip to Turin.
